Innovative arts projects to educate and inspire action.

In Plain Site

MAY 9 - JUNE 1, 2025

The Alameda Point shoreline transforms into an open-air gallery this spring, with powerful climate-focused photography and educational events. Featuring stunning work from local and international photographers, viewers will reflect on the possibilities of a climate-positive future and gain an important perspective of the human impact on our natural environment.

The festival kicks off with FOCUS FEST on Saturday, May 10th including artist talks, workshops, photo walks, and hands-on activities for all ages. More than art, In Plain Site prompts a call to action—raising awareness of climate change locally and globally. Engage with the community, learn from experts, and get inspired to make an impact.

PAST EVENTS

Somewhere to Land

Somewhere to Land was a unique, site-specific performance presented in collaboration with world-renowned vertical dance company BANDALOOP and West End Arts District. Performed on September 26, 27, and 28th, the performance lifted up the sustainability goals of Alameda's visionary De-Pave Park and invited attendees into a personal inquiry of these decaying military structures and resilient wetlands, a place where birds and humans might meet in steadily rising tidal rhythms.

Somewhere to Land featured an original live musical score by Bay Area luminaries, Destani Wolf and Ben Juodvalkis.
