FAQ

  • Can I visit the exhibit anytime between May 9th and June 1st?

    The exhibit is free and open to the public during this time period! The majority of the exhibit is accessible at any time. By attending one of our workshops (we will open up the galleries for people to take a look before each of the workshops start)

    Full galleries will be open during the Rhythmix Cultural Works RISING SEAS event (takes place in neighboring Seaplane Lagoon Waterfront Park), and will remain open until the CLOSING PARTY for In Plain Site at 6.30pm.

  • Do I need to reserve tickets for the events?

    All events, except the Closing Party, are free and open to all.

    We encourage you to RSVP so that we can keep you informed with performance updates.

    Workshops are ticketed and have limited availability. Book your tickets early!

  • Is there seating at the exhibit?

    There will be limited seating available at the exhibit when it is “activated.” There is also free and accessible seating at the neighboring Waterfront Park.

To find the exhibit, search “Radium Runway” or 2151 Ferry Point, Alameda, CA in your GPS.

Transit Options

  • Biking Bike parking is available near the exhibit at the Waterfront Park. If coming from Oakland, consider taking the Oakland Alameda Water shuttle, which provides free, bike friendly service between Jack London Square and Alameda’s Bohol Circle.

  • AC Transit Line 96 connects 12th St BART and Lake Merritt BART to Alameda Point. The closest stop to the exhibit is at W Atlantic Ave and Orion St, less than a 5 minute walk from the exhibit. Line 96 operates 7 days a week. Bikes are welcome on AC Transit busses.

  • SF Bay Ferry - Alameda Seaplane provides weekday service between Alameda Seaplane Lagoon and Downtown SF. The Alameda Seaplane ferry terminal is a quick 7 minute walk from the exhibit. Bikes are welcome on the ferry.

  • SF Bay Ferry - Alameda Main St Ferry Terminal provides weekday and weekend service between Alameda Point, Jack London Square, Oakland, and Downtown SF. Bikes are welcome on the ferry.

  • Driving: Free parking is available along W Atlantic Ave and Pan Am Way.

FOCUS FEST SHUTTLE > Main St ferry terminal

On Saturday, May 10th Discover Alameda is providing a shuttle service between Radium Runway and the Alameda Main St Ferry Terminal for the duration of the festival. The first shuttle will be departing from Main St. Ferry at 12 PM and the final shuttle will depart from Radium Runway at 5:10 PM.

$5 suggested fare for the service.

Please note: Children under 60lbs or under 6 years must be in a child restraining seat with an adult seated next to them.
